This monograph focuses on the integrated rescue system, which is in the Czech Republic specified by law. It was inspired by the need to prepare the Czech Republic’s inhabitants for extraordinary events, to perform rescue and clean-up operations, and to protect the population both prior to and during emergency situations. This monograph intends to present the historical context at the time of the emergence of the individual components of the integrated rescue system and contemporary legislation, including further intentions for its further refinement at the beginning of the 21st century.
